SuperDraft '08 most unpredictable yet

Each year, teams talks quietly with MLS headquarters prior to the SuperDraft, alerting the right league officials in New York of their interest in signing so-and-so. Of course, most clubs share interest in the same names, so there really isn't that much mystery to the process.

So when you count up Generation adidas types and others who are predicted to be selected early in the draft, there usually aren't more than a dozen or so players who are pre-signed by the league come draft day.

Not so with the 2008 SuperDraft. This time around, opinions vary widely on which attackers, defenders and goalkeepers can pass muster and make a real impact on a given roster. While no one is saying exactly how many players have already signed going into Friday's draft, the number is likely approaching 20.
